Silkworm project

DEFINITIONS: Here you can find a little explanation of different animals.
  • Frogs: Frogs are amphibians, most frogs are characterized by a short body, linked fingers or toes, prominent eyes, bifid tongue and they have not tail. Frogs are exceptional jumpers, and many of the anatomical characteristics of frogs, particularly their long, powerful legs, are adaptations to improve jumping performance. Due to their permeable skin, frogs are often semi-aquatic or inhabit humid areas, but move easily on land.
  • Butterflies: A butterfly is a mainly day-flying insect. The butterfly's life cycle consists of four parts: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Most species are diurnal. Butterflies have large, often brightly colored wings, and fluttering flight.
  • Silkworm: The silkworm is a larva or a caterpillar. It is a primary producer of silk.
THE LIFE CYCLE OF A FROG

THE LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY

You could put photos or videos about his silkworm´s project. Take a silkworm and follow all these steps to accomplish your project.
  1. First of all: you will have to investigate and write in the blog how this insects are fed and where you can find their food.
  2. Second: you will have to investigate where you can find these insects.
  3. Third: you will have to care of them at your home and you have to take photos along the transformation process to put them in the blog.
  4. Finally: you will have to comment your experience, your impressions and compare them with the life cycle of a butterfly.

Paradox

First of all, we are talking about of PARADOX: it´s a figure of speech, a special way of talking to say the same in a more careful and beautiful way, as if we explained the world upside down.

Advertisers, designers and artists use the paradox:

One of the most important artists using the paradox is Chema Madoz. He becomes rhetorical figures in pictures. Here we have some examples of his different art:
I´ve created my own paradox:
“INVERTED GRAVITY”

Before we have learned what a paradox is and how can be expressed by all kind of people, we have to investigate about more artists or designers that use the paradox. I´ll give you some persons to look for information: Joan Brossa and Velázquez.

Something about Matisse

Look for information about the biography of Henri Matisse.

Do you know where he was born?
Which painting do you prefer?

What are the homework?

Everyday a child will write the homework for each day. We'll post the introduction here with an example, and you could do it by your own. Visit the blog everyday and check the homework.

You have no excuse for having fun and learn :)
